Disney Channel will be airing a special one-of-a-kind commercial free event when the “Grand Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort” television special is presented Thursday, June 16, at 8 p.m., simultaneously on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD and each channel’s designated App, and then again on Friday, June 17, at 10 p.m., on Freeform (formerly abc Family). The Television special is hosted by Disney Channel star Sofia Carson and features special performances, dazzling costumes and more.
